354 9b 1865 (April 2) Envelope from Halifax to Enfield Way Office, Hants County, Nova Scotia, displaying a remarkable franking consisting of 2c greyish purple pair plus a diagonal bisect to pay the 5c domestic letter rate, inconsequential perf toning on the pair not affecting the bisect which is nicely tied by oval mute grid cancels, oval "H" AP 2 65 datestamp and Guysborough AP 19 1865 double arc transit backstamps. According to Nicholas Argenti no more than ten bisect covers exist, F-VF

355 10 Letter Bill Between Post Town and Way Office or Courier preprinted form postmarked at Clements Port, NS OC 18 1867, bearing a 5c blue tied by oval grid, charged / sent to Hillsburgh (Hillsboro Way Office, changed to Bear River in 1870) on August 3, 1868, long handwritten message on reverse of document. Some ageing and couple tears along folds, an interesting official post office document, very few have survived.
