707 Incoming Mail Pre-Revolutionary War Period: Folded lettersheet with "Rhode Island October 9th 1760" dateline written by Alexander Grant to John Grant, refers to current affairs of the time, carried by private ship outside post from Rhode Island to Halifax with docketing "Recd 9 Nov" on back; there was no postal service in Halifax at the time. Apart from some breaks along folds letter is in very good condition considering its age. A very interesting pre-Revolutionary War letter between the Eastern US and Nova Scotia, F-VF
