430 1a 1851 3p Orange Red on Handmade Laid Paper, Imperforate A marvelous unused example of this great rarity, surrounded by four large well balanced margins, displaying a very distinctive shade and clear impression as well as sharp laid lines; inconsequential pinpoint black spot at top left, small central mark visible under UV light only and tiny repair at lower left. Despite these hardly discernible imperfections, a very collectable unused example with VF appearance, exceedingly rare. 2014 Greene Foundation cert. (Unitrade $60,000)
