417 1859 (March 1) Blue envelope mailed free at Toronto, bearing a very rare strike of the Legislative Council Canada "Crown" (Davis LC-1) with same-ink "Crown" Free (italic; Davis FH-1i) handstamps in blue. Only a handful exist; certainly among the finest extant, VF (Canada Specialized CS LC-1 + Boggs "Free" type HS-05)

418 1867 (October 18) A choice cover postmarked Ottawa split ring to Office of the Secretary of State in Ottawa, sent free; bearing a clear, complete oval Legislative Assembly Canada handstamp in RED (Davis LA-1v). This LATEST REPORTED USAGE of the handstamp is a rarely seen usage from Ottawa, Very Fine (Canada Specialized LA-1f)

This handstamp (various colours) was used at the Seat of Government in Montreal (1849), before moving to Toronto (1849-1851), Quebec (1851-1856), then back to Toronto (1855-1859), Quebec (1859-1866) and finally Ottawa in (1866-1867).
